e-Bug in the News

The project I’m working on is called e-Bug.  We’re working with 17 countries across Europe to create an education pack and online games for primary and secondary (junior and senior) schools that will educate pupils on hygiene, microbes and appropriate antibiotic use.

The bigger picture is that if you can improve the education of young people with regards to antibiotics, then hopefully they will make better decisions with their own families and we can reduce antibiotics misuse.

Of course, creating resources isn’t particularly useful unless people are aware of them, so it was nice to see e-Bug prominately featured in this year’s European Antibiotic Awareness Day promotions in the UK.

BBC News have a summary.
